The article “How to Do one Thing at a Time”, adapted from Women’s Health Magazine, May 2010 says that, by now, we all know that multi-tasking can be a losing proposition. Also, in a science journal NeuroImage showed that doing multi-tasking is not good because our brains have cognitive limits.
I agree with the professor of communication at Stanfor University Mr. Clifford Nass he said “A tremendous amount of evidence shows that the brain does better when it’s performing tasking sequence rather than all at once”. One reason why I agree is because talking on the phone while driving it is a dumb idea because you are not focused on the road and neither in the conversation you having in the phone. Also, because chatting while you sending an office email are not a good idea because you might send the wrong email or maybe you might even forget to send it.
Another reason why I agree is because while am doing multi-tasking I get confuse and cannot concentrate at all. I remember once, I was doing a research paper for my philosophy class and chatting at the same time with my best friend from childhood. The conversation was with my friend was so good that I could not stop answering back to her that I totally forgot to do my research paper. By the time I remembered to do it I was so tired but yet I was trying to do it while chatting. My research paper was so bad that I was embarrass.
In conclusion, multi-tasking is really not a good idea to have things done. Also, because we damaging our brains and we could get frustrated it.
