Blog#15 Revision of CATW 2

In the article “The Woman who died in the Waiting Room”, from Newsweek by Jennen Interlandi states that public hospitals across the country have struggled to provide psychiatric care to the poor and uninsured since the early 1960s. In one of the biggest hospitals from Brooklyn a lady died in the waiting room.
I agree with the idea that” there are a lot of poor, uninsured and undocumented people that cannot get any treatment what so ever”. Most of these people suffer from diseases that have no cure, and they cannot get the right treatment because they do not have enough money to pay.    I had a friend whose mother was undocumented and had cancer. She tried to go to every hospital possible but they could not help her because she was undocumented and did not have enough money to pay. As a cause of these my friend’s mother past away because the cancer had developed more and was untreated and even if it was treatable she could not get that privilege.
Another reason why I agree is because I have seen people in the emergency room waiting hours and nobody would help them out because they don’t have medicate or they not citizens. It is really a dumb idea because we all humans and we all need to have the same treatment it should not depend on what class they come from or if they have papers or not.
In conclusion, to these article I think the government should do something about it and try to fix this case, because it is unfair for the poor people not to get treated  like any other citizens in the USA.
